Kristen DeVon, CAPS

Kristen has 28 years of multi-family property management experience working on all levels from on-site (1993 to 2000) and multi-site management from (2000- 2020).   

Proficient in business and budget planning as well as overseeing major capital projects. 

She has managed as many as 3,600 units in her portfolio with little turnover of her teams.

She has overseen much due diligence, asset take-overs for management, and dispositions of over 18 properties.  

 

Throughout Kristen’s career as Sr. Regional Manager with Greystar, her primary focus was on rehabs and repositioning of properties in several Houston Markets as well as Louisiana.   From 2004 to 2008, oversaw major rehabs on 4 properties in the Houston Market.  The 2,458-unit portfolio saw rent growth over 14%, positioning the assets for sale.

   

In 2008, she oversaw the rehab of a 703-unit asset in New Orleans and increased occupancy from 60% to 96% within 4 months, with income growth over 12%.   Because of this success, she was awarded management of 4 additional assets in three major Louisiana markets.  

 

From 2011 to 2019, Kristen worked with many clients, including Eaton Vance, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, and Blackrock portfolios, creating business plans, operating and capital project budgets.   

 

As a member of HAA, TAA, and NAA, Kristen is active in the apartment community helping with fundraising efforts, team building, and training.     

 

Today Kristen is the Director of Operations at Hazel Management and oversees all day-to-day functions of their portfolio.
